Well, after waiting for what seemed an eternity for everything to be ready to go, we left the scorching and humid heat of Webster and headed West toward our first stop in Hamilton, OH. Lee's sister graciously opens her home to us each year for a stop overnight.


We stopped at Wendy's in Erie for supper. Everyone got out and we circled up in the parking lot for grace. Hungry and ready to stretch our legs we stepped one foot in the door and realized that parked on the other side of the restaurant was a chartered bus and there were 50 people already standing in line with the employees looking at us with shock on their faces. Sooooo, we turned around and headed back into the cars. The next exit had an Arby's, so that is where we ended up eating. It's amazing to hear from your kids how many haven't eaten at some of these fast food restaurants. You are better than I. My kids know all the spots.

After a delicious supper, we set out for OHIO. (Riddle: What is round on both ends and High in the middle? OHIO) We arrived at Lee's sister Melissa's house in Hamilton, OH around 2:10AM. We grabbed our stuff, brushed our teeth and crashed on her floor and couches. Educational tidbit: 1. some of us found out that rabbits are nocturnal. even pet ones that have a cage in the family room where people were sleeping. 2. some of us found out that our sleeping companions snore loudly. (no names given)
